Ladies, your only real defense against Sexual Assault is learning how to defend yourself

Where do you think America ranks in Rape versus over 100 other countries in the world?
What would you say If I told you we were ranked a staggering 15th in the world?
Considering rape is under reported and under prosecuted in America, this is a incredibly frightening statistic.

I wish this post was only limited to Women, but Men face Sexual Assault as well, it seems absurd as most men do not prepare for it, but it happens.
Nevertheless whatever type of physical assault you need to be able to protect yourself and at the very least (recommended) get away.

If we take our current most famous Sexual Assault case with Ford and Kavannah, it seems she was held down.
In reality if there are several people your odds go down, however against a single man knowing the proper defense can help and even against multiple attackers you can get away.

So what can you do?
First and foremost I encourage every woman to take self defense classes, not all are the same in quality protection, but all will offer you more than you already know, do not neglect this. Do your homework, take at least one and preferably more than one.
You will also learn how to watch your surroundings, how to carry your keys and use objects as weapons. Different scenarios are practiced as well. The more you know the better you can react.

Second, Consider enrolling in a Martial Arts class, again not all are equal but any are better than nothing.



My daughter is in a childs martial arts program, She has learned how to pull away from someone, how to punch and elbow, the last I love. She has already used what she learned in class to pull away from a bothersome boy intent on holding her hand, nothing major, but it is a start. She is also becoming increasingly hard to throw a Blanket on or simply to grab a hold of while we are playing. She is very good now at using her feet to kick or push away. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to be able to use your strongest asset, your leg to at the very least push someone away.

Regardless of what Martial Art you choose sparing will be part of the equation and you will learn that you do not need to fear getting hit or grabbed as you once thought you would. It also teaches you confidence. The more you attend the more repetition you get and the better the odds of being able to use whatever defense you have been taught.
IF you are worried about Concussions i would encourage you to take Jui Jitsu or Tae Kwon Do, while hte later has strikes they wear copious amounts of protection.


Firearms Training
This one is probably kind of shocking as lately people have perceived me on the anti gun trail, I am not, I am however for limiting certain types of firearms to the general public, you will never hear me berate anyone wanting to protect themselves, other than being afraid of everything :P
I say training as most people do not know how to use a firearm in the proper situations, serious training goes way farther than simply pointing a gun and pulling the trigger. I have always been a hobby shooter and I shot competitively as well, however upon taking tactical classes I was amazed how much I learned.
DO not neglect this, but do not mistake having a firearm for being the end all as most assaults actually occur from friends or family members. The odds of you being armed at that time are almost none.

Weapons Training
Maybe you are not into firearms, and I do not blame you, or perhaps you cannot legally own one, then I would encourage you to take a Martial Art where you will also learn various weapons skills.


However you decide to learn to protect yourself just remember it does not end there, legislation needs to be passed to help hold people responsible for sexual assault, even with the best legislation in the world things can and will happen, signs are not crosses to the boogyman and the cross you wear does not promise Jesus will come and save the day.

Montana I-186, Scary Mining Bill or much needed Legislation?

I am frankly surprised at how many people are up in arms over this bill.
The usual big corporate Rhetoric is all over saying how it will "Cost Miners Jobs" That does exactly what it is supposed to do, tug at the hearts of Montanans as we all know Miners.
We are all also touched by mining, I am typing on a device made possible only by Mining so clearly I cannot be anti mining, but I am tired of big corporations leaving a lasting negative impact on the Environment.
I think those of us Growing up in Mining towns should want three things.
One a strong Economy.
Two Miners well Paid in a safe working evirionment
Three a Healthy Environment.

Both of my Grandfathers were Smeltermen and My Great Grandfather a Miner at one point as well as his Father, who would be killed in a Mine Blast in North Western Montana. Should I therefore conclude that since his death and thousands of others, mines were required to provide safety measures that undoubtedly cost the mine money, and maybe some employment, those regulations are bad? Not for a instance.

Furthermore I do not miss in the least bit the Mine Tailings I grew up Playing in left by the Anaconda Smelter, they are still there, but they are now capped with Top Soil. It has cost Tax Payers the equivalency of what the smelting produced to clean up the mess, which can never actually be completely cleaned up, how on earth is that cost effective at all?
It was so terrible in my childhood trees would not grow on the neighboring hillsides, the Upper Clark Fork river was completely devoid of all life, nothing would grow there do to the pollution.
I think many people have forgotten how far Environmental Legislation has gotten us.
It is also imperative that we look and think about where Rhetoric comes from.
The head of the Montana Mining Association Phillip Baker stiffed Tax Payers for some 27 million in clean up so far, and millions more to come do to Pegasus Gold and their antics. The Mine has to be cleaned up at YOUR expense for in a sense, ever.
There are wells which will be monitoring the Cyanide Leaching for Decades to come. Think about that for a minute.
Maybe take another.
Now look at this bill and tell me how in the fuck it is not needed?
I would also encourage you to show me how it costs miners jobs?
I have mined and I fully support miners, but I do not for a minute support destroying the planet left to my children and theirs.

These costs are associated with more staff for environmental review for mining permit
applications and anticipated litigation.

Sorry, if a Mine wants to use dangerous Chemicals, then they aught to have the means to clean up. They have an obligation to provide a safe living environment today tomorrow and forever.

Is this the last Presidency?

It is without saying that this is the most disastrous Presidency and likely leadership the world has ever seen.
Not because it is the worst, while it ranks right up there, it comes at a time when Humanities insanity could very likely set the fire that cannot be stopped from burning.
Whatever the policies and Rhetoric put forth the United States and the World, will ultimately be left cleaning up this mess for decades to come.
We face a scientifically and morally illiterate public. Where supernatural beliefs prequel any sense of reality in the advancement of society.
Where Ethics dissolve dissolve into the tar pits of Hades melted by its heat, guided by it's immorality known only as a whisper on the breath escaping the fissures to rise on the memories of but a few.
The Problem with this Presidency as any powerful leadership, is the fact it reflects upon the rest of the world which slowly descends into the chaos as it forget's or lacks own direction.
As mankind struggles to embrace rational we forget the one thing we need to depend on is each other.

At the turn of every Century for some odd reason always seems to make the beginnings of the end for societies where new transformations carry upon us the hope and dreams of either the good, or the worst.
Looking back at a Century ago America engaged in the horror of what would be called the War to End All wars, as society ran head long into its drunken desire to avenge the death of nobility, it sacrificed humanity to do so.
As Machine guns sounded like sewing machines chewing tens of thousands of bodies into oblivion bombs shook the earth as it has not seen since its beginnings. Man would unleash the hell of fire as it never existed as we took to the air the angels of hell would drop their torches upon the meek.
Mad scientists would create clouds on earth that would drift upon the countryside suffocating all carried by the winds like mist drifting across a marsh.
It would be followed by the league of Nations and an attempt to reign in the insanity, giving all the seat at the round table to face each other as equals.
It would give way to the insanity of Stalin and the Blustering Boisterousness of Hitler. The people would cheer their demise again as irrational Rhetoric set aside Humanity for the selfishness of unrealistic Idealism.
With a new level of Idiocy the greatest minds in the world would come together with yet another attempt to end Humanity.
Their steel would roll with precision over uneven ground with pointing fingers of death, huge lumbering Demons flew threw the air as the Enola Gay's four engines would streak through the sky like the four horseman carrying with it the apocalypse of Mans greatest invention. As it dropped it's concentrated Uranium melting the dirty civilians into rock, humanity would shutter, but would stop and listen once again.
The end was there and surely the greatest of all Wars would come an end.

The United Nations would stand and once again mankind would face each other with the first real solution of Humanity to address its own madness and bring about respect since the Magna Karta was forged in feudalism to end it's insanity and stop the wars.
A new peace started and despite man's drive to push forth insanity, rational would stand above the occasional popcorn war.
The world would bring about unprecedented peace with the average man being lifted for the first time in the history of earth to the highest status ever known. Their tables would be full to the envy of any 15th century king. Knowledge that has never existed upon the common man would be brought about as Libraries and Schools touched every country on earth which always leads to some sort of Plurality so long as the Fool does not regain the world throne yet again. Water would be cleansed and the air safe to breath yet again, but greed was just around the corner.
With the best and the brighest stepping forward to create the laughter and joy the world so craves, with the brilliant minds carrying magic hands to close open wounds, the ignorant would demand their say yet again.
With the hate of superiority being pushed forth as the Ignorant lifted up their mad fool, the world would start to descend into its chaos again.
Carried from their own desire to end their own the greediest would leave a waste that may never be cleared up, forcing the common man to slowly give way their gains.
He would bring A desire to destroy intellectualism had not been seen since the Hammer and the Sickle sent their best off to be punished with a shovel in their hands in the road of bones. As their equals made a trail of life upon their death.

The fools would gain power as the sane would try to push back, to bring sanity to humanity yet again.
When asked when will it end?
It will not stop until it gets, much much worse.
The question from that point is will Humanity survive?
Likely only the very wealthy for a short time in their bunkers of heaven with the rest of us suffering in the dredges of humanity, stuck with the worst of the worst we will suffer as we claw, scratch and scream for righteousness once again.
But as our feet burn up on a scalding planet, what will that mean?
Will Boiling water quench our thirst?
Will plastic Fish bring the nutrition our bodies scream for
Perhaps, then and only then as we ascend into oblivion will our waning consciousness scream the primordial fear looking back at once was, we will see all that was, and will never be again.

The Insanity of White Nationalism in Sweden and all others supposedly homogeneous societies.

The false ideology of "National Purity" is at it's height yet again.
Not seen since the ignorance of the Third Reich has Europe ran to embrace is homogeneous ancestry that never really existed.
You see the notion of "White Nationalism" is based on the ideology that all Whites are the same and essentially racially pure. It also is based on the notion that Immigration is somehow not normal or mundane.
Actually quite the opposite.
The Scandinavian States are pushed as being the most quintessential area's of Aryan Purity.
We are to believe as a certain party once did some 70 years ago in Germany that the pure white person is Lily White, Blonde hair and of course Blue Eyed. That logic carried forth from a dark haired Leader named Adolf Hitler who was a mixed blood Aryan and Berber Blood of pure Hypocrisy as usually is the case of such ridiculous notions.
His notion is nothing new as the ideology of whites being Superior and Immigration bad is a few short centuries old with 19th century scientists trying their mightiest to prove it, despite falling flat in the face of their own evidence.
It belies the fact that for Centuries the Scandinavians that were the epitome of whiteness were travelers we know them as Vikings.
Those people who conquered, bred and brought back slaves and travelers from all over their known world, which would delve into the Northern Most parts of Africa and of course the Mediterranean.
Their travels would also take them across the Atlantic Ocean to the North Eastern shores of the United States.
Now my dear reader, do you really think that along the way they did not interbreed? Do you think they did not settle, create farms and villages they were well known for?
Do you truly believe that the opposite is not true as well?
You see those perpetuating this nonsense do not know the history, nor genetic makeup of Scandinavia at all.
While my Fathers Side of the Family was Swede, Fin and German, My father could have passed as a Mexican do to his dark skin.
That is not uncommon should people actually travel to Scandinavia.
While the dominant look is indeed one which is white, the blonde haired and blue eyed is not the only type of face one shall see.
The Laplander or indigenous people of the area look Asian and have darker skin, in fact meeting someone of Finish Heritage, most often the area associated with Laplander's, one would often assume they are Native Americans, who of course came from Asia as well.

Moreover Sweden has a long history of Russia pushing deep into its borders which as a broad, now follow me here Asian history as well
I mean unless you think that borders, cultures and races stop by imaginary lines.....
Moreover Sweden has been open to Immigrants for some time, it is not uncommon in the least to see a black person, born in Sweden, who knows not their ancestral homeland, especially in their Capital of Stockholm.

Romans were from Italy with people of all Ethnicity fighting within their Armies.
They also engaged in trade far beyond their own borders.
It belies the last simple fact that the Swedish Empire once extended through Finland, down Russia and into parts of What is now Germany.
So I ask you dear reader how on earth can anyone perpetuate the nonsense of racial purity and one of anti Immigration when the History of even Northern Europe is point of fact one of Immigration?
My dear Reader, we must reject far right ideological Ideas as they are not based on anything rational, and they will hold us back from a pluralistic society.
In the end the only way to do this is by stopping false dichotomies in their tracks.
