The much anticipated fight happened last night between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Connor Mcgregor, in an match we saw almost four rounds of Khabib dominating Connor not only on hte ground, but knocking Connor down twice while on their feet, once with a knee the other with a punch.
He would go on to Finish Connor in the fourth round via neck crank.
Khabib furious at Connors Pre Fight Antics dating back months, jumped over the cage and ended up in a quick brawl with Connors Jui Jitsu Coach.
Meanwhile two of KHabibs Teammates jumped in the cage and COnnor, being his usual self instigated one and threw a punch at pretty much the same time, then he was hit from behind.
THe melee was chaotic however replaying the Video shows there were no real "Victims" despite Connor trying to play that card.
Let's be clear, Connor has pushed the Envelope in his brief history in the UFC taking Marketing to a new level as he degrades, humiliates and even physically attacks his opponents outside of the ring. Usually those physical attacks are only Token attacks not meant to promote a fight, however five months ago Connor upped the stakes by Throwing a hand truck through a bus window injuring and nearly blinding a fighter.
It should have been then that Connor was banned from the US as he endangered the Career and safety of everyone on the Bus, but being Dana Whites Golden Boy excuses were made and a token court appearance for the Irishman.
Now we have a situation that got ugly, and could have been worse, so where does it stop? Connor is out of control with his antics and giving him a free pass only continues to not only make each situation worse in future promotions, especially as he loses relevancy, to a time when it could be flat out dangerous and lead to something far, far more serious.
So we need to keep the key players and instigators in play, while I do not give KHabib a total Pass in his antics at last nights event, I also understand somewhat as people in most of the "Eastern" world do not joke nor let insults roll off their shoulders as we do in the West. Honestly in some regards I do not blame him, there aught to be a professional line that should not be crossed and I sincerely hope that the Nevada Atheletic Commission does the right things and holds the UFC accountable for allowing this ignorance to continue.
